This story isn’t one that starts happily. Daisy Johnson was born July 2, 1988 to Calvin Johnson and Jiaying, the night she was born it was storming and a complete mess, as was much of her life after that. Her mother was killed–or so she was thought to be–and her father’s mission in life was to avenge that death. His daughter was taken by S.H.I.E.L.D. and placed into Foster Care to protect her. From there she grew up as an orphan, never being able to settle in one place for long because SHIELD was constantly moving her.She had a knack for hacking and joined the Rising Tide which put her on S.H.I.E.L.D. 's radar, something she had planned from the beginning. She was going to use the access to the documents that organization had to find more information on her birth parents. Instead, the feeling of belonging stuck up on her. Being on the team gave her the purpose that she’d been looking for her whole life. She began training with them and soon was a member.From joining S.H.I.E.L.D. Her life was a whirlwind of missions and battles that had her all but forgetting what she’d started with the organization to do. It was then that her Father found her and from there she found herself undergoing the transformation of terrigenous. She was an Inhuman, with powers that she had to learn to control.
It was because of these powers that her mother was able to find her, and it was her mother that helped her learn to control them. However, Jiyang had plans to release Terrigen Mist over the world and eliminate the humans causing her to become an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Her mother was killed by her father and her father had his memories wiped and was placed under the protection of a new alias. Daisy sees him occasionally but stays her distance for his own protection.It’s a constant whirlwind from there, from being mind controlled, to the death of members of the team, to the future and back and to the future again. Daisy’s life has been nothing less than extraordinary. However, her traveling days with Coulson and his crew have come to a stop as they all went their separate ways, just in time for the snap to happen and from there Daisy was blipped.Arriving back on earth she was confused at having lost five years of her life. Daisy is nothing, if not resilient, as she continues to work as an Independent Consultant for SWORD and do vigilante work on the side to help those who need it.
